Best Coffee Grinder: Peyton Coffee Nearby

Peyton coffee has been a local favorite since 1875 when it was purchased by the city of Plymouth.

In that same year, the Plymouth Herald reported that “a new city-owned coffee roaster, founded by an Englishman, will be built in the old city of Norwich.”

“A local company, Peyton, opened its doors in Plymouth in 1875 and has been serving Plymouth customers ever since,” the city said in a press release.

“Peyton coffee beans are available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, making it a popular choice for home roasters, cafes, restaurants and other coffee-focused places.”

Peyton Coffee is the second-oldest roaster in the U.K., behind only Royal Roasters in Plymouth.

The company was founded in 1908 and operates out of its current location in London, England.

In 2015, Peytons annual profits hit $5.6 million.

The city of Portsmouth said in 2016 that its sales grew 20 percent, while its profits in 2015 grew 25 percent.

Peyton’s owner, Mark Thomas, is a local businessman who started his business in 1971 when he moved to Plymouth from London, where he worked as a chef and worked as an apprentice to the late Sir George Barbour.

“It’s a very quiet, private little place,” said Chris Mackey, Peytons owner.

The company was acquired by a group of people who bought it in 2003.

In 2016, the company began selling roasted beans to restaurants.

A press release said that a new cafe and roastery is planned for the Peyton location, which has been leased to Peyton’s former roaster and coffee bar, The Coffeetree.

Thomas said that the new roastery will have a seating capacity of 15 people.

Although he said that it was a big step, Thomas said that Peyton Coffee will remain in the Plymouth area, not moving to another location.

As for his future plans for the roasting, Thomas declined to say much.

But he did say that the Roasters Cafe at the PeyTON roasting facility will open this summer.

He said that he is looking forward to bringing PeyTons coffee to the next level, even though the Roaster Cafe is not scheduled to open until next year.
