A hacker stole a ton of coffee gear from Seattle’s coffee shop

A hacker has stolen $25,000 worth of coffee equipment from Seattle coffee shop The Espresso.

The theft of the coffee equipment occurred around 9:00am PT on Tuesday.

The thief took off with the coffee shop’s computer hard drive, which included the company’s username and password.

The stolen hard drive contained an estimated total of $25k worth of equipment, including coffee grinders, mugs, and more.

The Espresso is a Seattle-based coffee shop.

The company told ABC News it is “aware of the incident and has taken steps to protect customer data.”

Seattle Police Department spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson said in a statement that the Espresso is currently investigating the theft.

The coffee shop has closed and no one was injured.
